I am in the process of making the switch from Rubber hub to friction. My rubber hub broke loose so time to address the situation.
There is not a whole lot on this site that I have found with the short frame B referenced with this conversion.
1. The part B2129R, is that necessary on the short frame B? I slide the pulley on that I have and it seems to slide all the way and does not rub on the tube ending. So, is that spacer necessary?
2. Will any fan work on the unstyled fan shroud and radiator or do I need a smaller fan? The donor shaft came from a JD 50. It seems a tad big for the unstyled B to me, but just wanting opinions.
I probably will do a rebuild of the shaft assembly so I think I have all the necessary pieces from the 50 donor. Anything else do I need besides from the pulley forward? Anything behind the pulley do I need?
