JD 40W Hydraulic

I'm looking for hydraulic rocker arm seals for a 40W. They're probably the same as the 420 but, I can't find them either. Thank you, gregjo1948 :?:

What are you calling rocker arm seals? If you are
talking about the rocker arms on the engine there
are no seals. Are you thinking about the rock
shaft for the 3 point hitch?

They are just a cork type packing and a retainer. JD should still sell them. They don't seal very good. There might be someone who you can send the housing off to machine it for REAL oil seals like the late 430 had. I thought they did advertise in green magazine ?

I had one a few years ago that I redid and I think I used seals for a 1010. hey are a regular seal and not a cork gasket. Also on a 420 that I had, i found some O rings that were the right dimension and used the original metal retainers for the cork gasket.

If the shaft and housing are worn. The 40's pieces can be machined for the bushings and seals used on the last 430.
