some man in menphis craigslist has an A john deere on there for sale says it has live pto am I missing something here I dont think they ever made an A with live pt

r is this the only one ever made??Im old so maybe this is one of those Ive never seen before things.correct me if Im wrong.

Innes Power made an aftermarket live PTO but it is pretty obnoxious looking and would be easily noticeable.

I actually made a late A for a guy years ago with live pto. He had a 51 A with a bad transmission and a 60 with a bad engine. We basically used the 60 transmission, crankcase, governor and rockshaft section and the A rear axle, frame, engine, and tinwork. I had to drill and tap 4 new holes for the A frame to bolt to the 60 crankcase and the rest was a direct bolt. Ended up being a pretty neat tractor and sure turns a lot of heads and raises eyebrows at shows!

Well, I did see an 8 Cylinder Diesel JD "A" once at out Co. Fair..!!
