Model M - lights black or green

Getting ready to paint. Most pictures I see show the lights on the front and rear of the tractor with the light case painted black but I also see some pictures with the light case painted green. What is the original way the tractor came or is it personel preference?

I have to say I like the black better myself than when I see them painted green, correct or not. Same thing with starters and generators.

Me too. You need some other colors to break up all that green.
