three function joystick???

I have the new 3 function joystick on my 6420 where the grapple is run by an electric button on the joystick. My question is, is it possible to, or does JD make something similar to put in a 4230 or 4440?

It could be done but would be costly. Price a 3rd scv valve for a 3720. Like 1200 bucks I think. A little brain power and it would go on.

Factory joystick 3 function on a 148/158 loader had a JS plus an extra lever all cable operated. I think one could incorporate a micro switch into handle with an electric controlled valve on older loaders

I have used a hydraulic splitter that is used for adding a 3 rd remote plumbed into the bucket circuit with the button on the bucket lever. Normal operation the bucket lever works as designed, with the button pushed, pulling the bucket lever closes the grapple, pushing the bucket lever opens the grapple. This way you can still curl the bucket and close the grapple just by pushing or releasing the button while holding the lever. Makes for a clean installation with only the wires for the switch in the cab going to the joystick, the splitter is mounted on the loader frame with pioneer fittings,so if you want to remove the grapple you just unplug the hoses,

Hi
Like MSM said with his set up. I got one the same on my Valtra with quickie loader from factory with the joystick. all you got to do is find the parts and write the check. if you already have a joystick and 2 bank block you should be able to update cheaper than buying a 2 bank cable block and the electric over hyd control block as well. If your just running from the original tractor spools I think I'd update the whole system to cable joystick and elect over hyd diverter valve.
I love mine compared to the other spare tractor with spool levers, if i used that tractor more I'd update that one the same.

I just wish I had connected the cylinders on the grapple so it closed the grapple then crowded the bucket back when you took your finger off the button, When I first had it and was getting used to using the joystick and tractor. Doing it that way would save closing the grapple finger off button and then moving the lever the opposite way to bring the bucket back. then the same with opening the grapple moving the lever to dump as well. I left it to long before changing it over, then it just got confusing. So I put it back like it was from factory.
