dltx 18 carb

I bought a john deere a serial #602908. The carb that came with it is a dltx18, Is this the right carb?

Should be a DLTX-71 (gasoline), or DLTX-72 (all fuel), I believe, for that later serial 3, IF being correct is important.

your tractor will run on it. Unless you are wanting to pull or want the "correct" carb, its not a necessary or have to case to get another.

Couple big differences are the choke on your 18 (unless it's been altered) has no provision for control rod from op. like 71 and throttle plate is 1/16 smaller on 18 and diff. main fuel nozzle. Like they said, depends on your requirements.
