2130 JD 3 point and hydraulic remote

I just got this tractor and some body put a aftermarket single spool valve for a set of remotes. But the 3 point will not come up unless you move the handle for the remote. Would a open center valve make it do that ? I think this is a closed center tractor. I will try to put a picture of where they hooked the lines for the valve. It may be hooked up wrong what do you guys think

If it is a closed center tractor and a open center valve, then yes the valve will dump all oil in neutral position, leaving no pressure to operate your three pt. Moving the lever to an operating position closes the return port and gives the pressure back to your three pt.

So you need to eliminate the spool valve or switch to a closed center valve.

Ditto what Brady stated. A simple test is remove hose attached to tractor in the photo and aim hose in hyd filler hole on the rear of tractor. with scv control lever in neutral start engine and if oil squirts out hose it's an open center and needs to be changed to CC type for hyd's to operate correctly.

Looks like the previous owner Bubba did not research the task before jumping in.
After converting the valve to CS from OS . Ensure there isn't a relief valve set below 2500psi.
If using the SCV for high flow loads such as log splitters, hydraulic motors etc. that oil return line currently dumping into the transmission case is limiting front pump capacity .to what the transmission pump can spare after supplying it's priority loads.

Solution for high demand loads is to return the oil into a ported transmission filter cover.

Yes somebody put a open center valve on it. I unhooked it and
capped it and now the 3 point works fine. Thanks
