Information on Ring Gear and Pinion for a JD 435D

RTR JD435D

New User
I'm looking for any information on a ring gear and pinion set for a John Deere 435D. So far I've found out that the OEM part # is AT16608T. I wanted to know if there were any other sets that me be compatible in the JD 435D. Maybe something from the 420 series or 1010 series. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It starts and sounds great. We just have to get it moving forward.

I would contact John Weems in Taylorsville, Georgia DBA Farmer
John's Tractor Parts. He would have the parts books that would
show which parts would interchange and I am sure he would have
the parts for the 435. You will need your serial number as different
changes were made in different years. Fine gentleman to do
business with and very accommodating.

Topic has been covered several times here.
Why change the gears ?
Have you found the parts books on the JD web site?
Do you have the service manual to properly set up the gears ?1-800-522-7448 and the nice folks will send you one on CD or hard copy.
The HD R&P from a 1010 prior to serial # 31,000 is recommended. There is a choice of low speed and high speed depending on the chassis. Correction thanks to txjim.
For my 435 I would choose the lower speed ratio of 6/32.

You're seeing something in 1010 parts catalog that I'm not seeing as I see no reference to "type of fuel" for different R&P gear ratios.
