Wondering what a JD d 41 maybe is
worth..hand start..has PTO and individual
steering brakes..loose motor..bad tires
..nice sheet metal..been stored in barn
for many yrs..is it rare since it has
brakes and PTO?

Wellllllllll every JD D that looks like he_ _ or even runs but looks like he_ _ with garbage for tires and tin banged up sells for $900.00
Bob....... North Western Alberta

Why ask a vague question without giving general location?
It is most likely worth more in Havana, Illinois, than it would be in Havana, Cuba.

I thought the question was pretty good and to the point...don't really matter where it..its worth same ..if u can't help answer question or give decent opinion you should not respond at all

I with you!!Value is going to be close to the same. Not even sure if social type goverment allows private ownership of ag equipment in Cuba.

Around here in north central Montana you can't buy a complete tractor no matter condition for less the $500 most of the time. The turning brakes make it somewhat more desirable then a D without them but the PTO doesn't. Plenty of styled Ds had PTOs. What it is worth depends on how you sell it. If you advertise it in Green Magazine or Two Cylinder $1,000 might be possible. Try selling it around here were most people, even collectors don't care about much about Ds because there were so many of them the value would be lower.

I don't know where those 500 dollar tractors are.Here in ohio a good D will bring 3000 to 5000 bucks.A styled D at a farm auction brought 10500 a few years ago.

You guys back east pay way too much for old iron which is good because I have doubled my money on a few tractors selling them to easterners.

Green Envy,
A lot of people get upset with me when they ask how much a tractor is worth and I say its the location that is a big influence in price.
Its the old tradition of supply and demand.
When I started to deal in old tractors, I bought several in the Fargo,North Dakota area over a period of a few years.
I could buy tractors up there and bring them back to south Indiana and sell them for double or more profit, even factoring in the cost of transportation.

Yes,and there probably still cussing you after they get them home and find out what it's going to cost to get them into shape.
