John Deere A sheet metal

Anyone have a good source for aftermarket reasonably priced complete front grilles for a styled JD A ? Mine are beyond saving and are the only eyesore left on my tractor

Post an ad on this site or look on ebay. There are several on ebay. The originals fit better than aftermarket.

I bought a new aftermarket grill for my A, and while the fit was good and looks OK now, it took some work and bondo to make it so.

Every place where the inside mesh was welded to the main grill was a divot that I had to fill in and sand down a couple of times before painting. I would guess they're all like that, so nothing against Detweiler's.

If you can find a good original, it will work out better, but most require as much or more bondo than I used on the new ones.

I have a set for sale. not bad for there age, still very solid. one area in the mesh on the right grill is a little messed up but not extremely horable. let me know if you are interested.

Thank you,
