6410 trans locked up

This morning we load the mixer wagon as usual with the 2001 6410 13k hrs. Backed up to hook on put it in park shut it off hooked up the mixer. When we went to pull away with the mixer the tractor wouldn't move. When letting the clutch out something was keeping it from moving and the tractor would've stalled out if we let it (unhooking the wagon made no difference) Against our preference and better judgement we pulled it with another tractor. Within 15 or so feet whatever it was let go and the tractor rolled and drove. The only obvious thing I noticed was putting the shifter in park was "easier" than normal dunno if park is actually working.
Any thought on what might be going on would be a help
Transmission is original and a other than a couple reverser switches has not been worked on.

You can and will check if the Park is actually working by parking on a slight incline. Please do this before someone assumes Park is OK. I cant think you sheared the Park pawl off by towing, I am hoping that the linkage was bound and not letting it release. With the tractor off and the wheels blocked watch the park shifter from underneath the tractor as someone shifts the lever in and out of park. Try to see that all moves and the spring is intact. If all is good soak the pivots with your favourite lube.
