john deere 420W 6 volt battery??

Any recommendations on 6 volt battery name brands and best cranking amps for the 420W I was always led to believe you should use a higher cranking amp than what the Mfgr. lists. ? Thanks

The cheapest I found was Batteries Plus.
Tractor Supply was about a $100
JD was a little over a hundred - Parts guy said pick it up.
It's the heaviest. (Does that make it the best?)

In my case my tractor usage is rotational flatulence, so putting the charger on once in a while is not a big deal if that tractor doesn't get much running time to charge.

Just try and find a place that sells alot of them like a farm/fleet store. That way they are fresh batteries. Any batteries with dust on them aren't worth buying. Just what I have noticed over the years. chris
