I have a 720D and a 720G that both locked up in the transmission. The shift lever would not shift the two speed. I removed the shift cover and found a lot of wear on the fork for the two speed where the top ball of the shift lever would run.The majority of the wear on both tractors existed on the bottom Lh side of the fork. It looked like the ball was going under the fork. Also the ball had worn right at the opening edge of the fork slot. I did weld up this area and reshaped, and on the diesel it seems to shift fine. I have only removed the cover on the gas to inspect. Is this a common problem, and am I way off base repairing this way. Maybe there is something else I should be watching for. One other question is the two speed on a 70D supposed to shift while the transmission is in high gear? Thank you to all that have helped me in the past and future
