John Deere 6200 Seat

The cushions on my seat are worn out. JD wants over $300 for the replacement cushions and, being cheap,I won't pay that. I can replace the seat with a generic one for about $100. The current seat has a switch that tells the pto when the operator is in the seat. If the seat is empty, a light on the dash will blink but the pto will continue to operate. My question is, do I just wire the 2 wires together when I replace the seat with a generic one? Also has anyone had success with have the old cushions re-upholstered? I would do that is the cost is in line with the generic seat. Thanks, Sid

It is the comfort seat with vinyl. The rest of the
seat is good and I hate to replace it because of the
cushions but I think $300+ is too much. Thanks, Sid
