John Deere GM

In my files I had the following, copied from somewhere:

SN 13000 - 22112 GM's

SN 22113 - 22999 not used

SN 23000 - 25671 Early type style G's

Hope this is helpful

My source which is JR Hobbs author and researcher for Green Magazine and later 2 cylinder says 8,764 GMs were built. There were more unstyled Gs built then GMs so they should be highly collectable. There was a styled G that was between the GM and the late styled G. Only 2,572 of those were produced.

What is the serial numbers for the early styled G's? Also is there a book out there that was just on the G tractor that has serial numbers and the differences in all the G's.

There was an unstyled G production registry published. The unstyled G registry was printed by the Two-Cylinder Club of Grundy Center, Ia. Listed serial numbers, build dates, shipping destinations, and tractor equipment, such as wheel type, with or without power lift, etc. Ive never know of a book dedicated to just G's that you speak of. There were several differences in the early early unstyled to the late unstyled, differences in the early GM to late GM, and Early styled G to Late styled. I could tell you all that I know but would'nt be able to tell you everything. There are some that are on this board (or were) that could answer those questions. Serial numbers can be obtained easily to see the model year breakdown.
