Unstyled A Crank shaft

I've got an unstyled A with a not so great crankshaft. It is rebuildable but pretty pricey. The shop recommended that I find another if possible. So my question is can I use a crank out of a styled A? Looking into it everything is the same but the styled A has 1/4 longer stroke. Would there be any problems/modifications needed to use one? Any help would be great.

You can use one out of an A thur 1946,later A's are different,I have a nice crank out of an unstyled A $150.00 +shipping e-mail is open

Doing a little more research, some people mentioned something about notching the piston to allow clearance for the spark plug? Is that required to use the styled crank? And if so how much notching would be involved?

The tractor is being rebuilt, so the engine is being bored also. Just trying to figure out what i can do for the crankshaft.
