I bought a 38 unstyled G. It has a late G block in it with the unstyled flat head. I have no idea what for Pistons are in it. I did a compression check and both cylinders are 115-120#. How much compression should it have if it had the correct unstyled block? Does 115# sound right with late G block and flat head?

Probably right, assuming they probably used high compression pistons.

The all fuel pistons in the GM's were around 65# or so.
