John Deere Bo VS Br

I'd guess the BO had a horizontal exhaust and often funny diamond tread pattern tires on them, the later BO's might also have the shrouded rear fenders and sides.

The BO has shields on the hood to protect the air intake (the BR has an upright stack) and the fuel caps from tree limbs. The BO also has steering/turning brakes. Citrus fenders/skirts were a BO option to cover the rear wheels to protect tree branches. That's basically it. Neither is particularly rare, probably depends more on what area you live in. You'd see more BO's in orchard country than you would in wheatland country. Now, before someone jumps on me. Yes, you could order a BR with turning brakes and/or the low air intake & BO hood. They turn up fairly often.
