John Deere B power trol valve trouble

I recently purchased a 1948 John Deere B. One of its power trol valves does not fit tightly and is too easily removable. When the tractor is started, there is a noticeable drip from this valve. What is the basic way to install it correctly? Some close-ups of the valve are listed in the links below - I couldn't figure out how to directly post an image on the forum.

Send it to MACfabrications for a full rebuild and you'll be good for another 50 years. He'll strip it and rebuild it back to specs with testing.

(quoted from post at 19:36:00 09/17/14) Sounds like you need to replace the "O"rings inside
the ports.
I have placed some o rings on the body of the valve, but that does not seem to be helping. Perhaps I have placed them in the wrong area - I'm no mechanic. What do you mean by the "ports"?
