Yet another hydraulic leak on my 2130

After finally getting the hydraulic leak at the radiator fixed and getting the broken brake line closed off temporarily I decided to park the tractor on the concrete driveway today to be sure that both leaks were really fixed. I was disappointed to see yet a third leak--this one dripping about once a second from the air filter housing. I traced it to the bottom of the hydraulic reservoir, and after removing the hood, it turned out to be that the hose on the top of the reservoir had come loose.

In addition to the general filthy appearance of the top of the reservoir, I noticed that the tube seemed pretty stiff, and the spring clamp did not seem to do much. Should I replace the tubing and clamp, and if so, should I use ordinary PVC tubing, or should I get the tubing from the dealer? And is all the grime on the top of the reservoir probably just from the fluid that may have been leaking for an unknown amount of time?

Regular plastic tubing is fine,,, I can only imagine what the radiator looks like....That is a vent/over flow line for the reservoir..

Yeah, I'm going to have to look into the radiator in the morning.

(quoted from post at 01:13:45 09/15/14) If you have enough slack in the hose, you can cut it back an inch or so and it will hold.
There is enough slack. But the whole tube feels pretty stiff, at least stiff compared to the PVC I am used to.

Just curious if you still have this tractor, I recently bought a 2130 out of Clanton and it has same leaks and someone bolted off the brake line to keep it from working. If so I would like to know what all you have done to it? I can not get brakes working and I think PTO connector is down in gear case. Just wondering???

Yes I do still have it, and I did get the leak fixed. I also had a brake fluid leak and posted that ordeal here too.
Just Google "deere 2130 brake fluid leak" and you'll see links to the brake problem on this and another forum. You can also search for my name in the search box and get to lots of my posts on this tractor. The folks on this forum have been extremely helpful. They know a lot, and they have shared their expertise freely. I have also found Randy Coker at Coker Tractor in Arab to be very helpful. I have ordered several parts from him.
