Clutch parts

The clutch on my 720 isn't snapping like it should. Adjusting was not helpful, so I went ahead and took the pulley off and pulled the clutch apart. My question is, how can I tell what parts are in need of repair? As far as dogs, toggles, t-bolts, and the sliding sleeve. Is there a list somewhere that gives factory specs on these parts?

Most of the time you can see Ware. A good rule
of the thumb, is how far are the adjustment nuts
on the T bolts. If you hafta tight'n them beyond
the cotter key hole, I'd start with new linings.
Floating plates become thinner, but I don't know
what NEW thickness it, compare yours with a New
part, then decide. It's possible toggle dogs &
dog bone are worn, but I'd start with the easy
first. RLA....

Not too far back ? (time flys) a fellow posted pictures of his 630 clutch. A very good picture of the operating sleeve and drive pin that is worn out causing problems.
Maybe you can find that thread and picture. I'd for sure check yours.

I searched before posting, I'll try again. Thanks for the lead.

Edit: after reading this post and looking at mine, the hole on my sleeve is wallowed out as well. I'll give this a try and see if symptoms are cured. The previous owner said he had the clutch working good and all of a sudden it quit snapping in and out like it should. This could explain that. Thank you again.

Thanks for the reply. The guy I bought it from just installed new linings and I believe new t-bolts. I haven't pulled the gear off yet, but didn't want to order several hundred dollars in parts by guessing. I believe he put pennies in the sliding sleeve holes to take up some slack. I was hoping there were dimensions somewhere on dogs, toggles and t-bolts so I can do some measuring on mine.

OK On my 620, I had the same issue as your having
I never did come up with measurements. But I did
try shimming the toggle's for a test. It Helped
so I bought 3 new ones along with the dog bones.
I check measurements at the time & found no
difference in the length of the dog bones, But
the toggle's did help the clutch.. If you already
have new linings, & floating plates I'm not sure
what else you can do....
