1630 Hydraulics

I was working my 1630 and the hydraulics quit. It had lots of fluid but the little reservoir tank up front was dry. I pulled the screen and got a lot of crud out of it and drained the fluid and filter. I cleaned the screen, installed new fluid and filter and filled the reservoir tank. Started the engine and had hydraulics until the tank drained and was back to no hydraulics. I pulled the PTO button and my hydraulics are back.
Can anyone tell me what my problem might be?
Thanks Dave

Sounds as if part of the pto is severally leaking internally which could be clutch or supply tubes. The supply tubes have a history of cracking. By pto button I presume you're referring to parts key 4?

Thanks for the earlier reply. You were correct. There was a leak. It was not easy to find. One of the tubes #7 or 13 rubbed on the bottom and wore a hole in the bottom of the tube. The new one came with a rubber protector on it. I guess I'm good for another 40 years.
