is a 70lp and a 720lp flywheel the same casting numbers will a 70 flywheel work on a 720 lp is the question??thanks rick

Here's the casting numbers, from www.jdparts.com.

They are different, and I have never had the two apart side-by-side, so I can't comment on what the differences may (or may not) be.

70 non-diesel flywheel casting # F1226R (Part # with ring gear AF1646R).

720 non-diesel flywheel casting # F2730R (Part # with ring gear AF2609R).

The starter ring gears are shown as the same part #, F1227R.

What is the situation ? Have you found a loose flywheel and are hoping a different flywheel will tighten on that crank ?

no a man said he had a 720lp the flywheel broke and he put a 70lp flywheel on it I don't think that will work correctly, do you???

I suppose he could try it. It can't shake any more than my kid's 50 with a power-bloc with the matching light weight aluminum pistons.
