I have a 1962 4010 diesel that the hydraulics have an issue. Sometimes when you raise the 3 point it doesn't go up but if you turn the steering wheel to the right all the way the 3 point will go right up. After you use it for a while it works as it should, has a clean filter, screen and fresh hydraulic fluid.Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris

Sounds as if something is letting oil bypass in the steering valve below steering wheel. Does steering operate correctly? Does steering valve seem hotter than other hyd valves?

What is hyd pressure? Might be borderline or pressure control valve sticking where steering valve operation is causing it to open.

Nothing seems to get hot. There has been a few times the steering will quit when lifting the 3 point with the wheel cranked to the right. Have noticed the brakes will darn near throw you off the tractor if not careful.A lot touchier than the 4020.
Thanks,
Chris

Normal brakes for 4010. Facings are larger as well as pistons I believe.
