I purchased my winter project to restore this early 4010 diesel tractor. Tin work not too bad for this old of a tractor. This is the earliest 4010 I have seen but I am sure the earlier ones are still out there.

If memory serves, both the first 3010 and 4010 have been pictured, restored, in several publications. Both were narrow front row crops.

At that point, I don't believe Kellers were the owners. They may be now, though.

A near by friend of mine has #2 3010, he is still using it...the engine number is #2 also

I don"t think that he has researched it,, he didn"t know about the low serial number for a while after he bought it,,years ago..

I wonder how many were finished when the Dallas show happened ?? The way I understand it several showed up at some dealers that week after... That whole secrecy thing about them still amazes me..they were working the snot out of them for a few years before Dallas, with different hoods and colors on them...and of course no digital cameras, or cell phone cameras,, and no internet helped with the cover up too..

(quoted from post at 13:49:27 09/07/14) Just curious... does he know if it went to Dallas?

NO I was at the Dallas showing & I didn't see it. Yea right I was a mere teenager. I do remember seeing the tractor a 4010 I think under the spot lights turning round-n-round on the turn table.

There was a 3010 utility for sale a year or two ago that supposedly was at Dallas... or at least he claimed two-cylinder had documented it.

I think the number on that one was 20 something. Probably one of the first utilities.
