Bill, this engine is very easy to get parts for,I just rebuilt mine and lots of suppliers for parts including this site, just make sure its gas and not diesel parts you order,if thats what yours is.

thanks Mike just talked to owner it is gas but can,t get to see it till monday when he is around it is in utah so am i but tractor is not at his house will let you know what i find on monday Thanks again Bill

Parts are no problem EXCEPT if the fuel injection pump is within engine serial # range of 60327-117499. The C pumps became obsolete 15 years after that tractor was built. Pumps cannot be rebuilt and new parts not available. Deere was offering conversion kits for them for awhile to convert to a different D-style pump.

In regard to the wet sleeves - early engines only had one seal per sleeve. Deere came out with conversion sleeves that have three seals per sleeve. Easy fix. By 1969 - it probably had the later sleeves anyway.

Poorly designed. Only one seal on original sleeves. Replacements had grooves in sleeves.
Last design had grooves in block where they should have been all along.
