Late A roll o matic question

The large shaft on which the spindles operate on is worn on my A. The bushing was almost gone and galled the shaft. I suspected this as once in awhile the right side would catch and hang up. I have another A for parts that has a good shaft and everything else shows minimal wear also. My question is, does that shaft come out from one side or the other? Or is it fixed in place? Thanks.

I don't think those shafts are removable. Your probably going to have to change out the entire unit.

Which part is bad? My A had a bad #27 in the attached diagram (what I am calling the axle, where the wheel rotates). I got a "parts" ROM, took it apart, and replaced the whole #27 into my A. I should have used new felt seals, because it leaks a little grease now, but not too bad. Not a hard job, just a little messy.
