Going to buy another 4630. axel questions

We like our 4630 so much that we need to add another to the fleet to keep up running haying equipment and feeding equipment.

ours has the larger rear axelshafts but I noticed that many of them do not.

Do you know if the smaller axels were actually an issue on these tractors or were the larger axels just an upgrade that came later?

I guess what I"m asking is would you be afraid of buying a 4630 with the small axels?

What years had the larger ones?

We"re looking for most likely a power quad or power shift. looking to do heavy pto work, run a processor, baler, rake, 24 ft disc, ect.

we were looking at maybe the 40 series, but I don"t want to deal with the larger 1000 pto that doesn"t fit anything that I have. I don"t care for adapters.

Any suggestions would be great!

Thanks.

If your going to do heavy PTO work I would stay with a Quad Range,,and away from a Power Shift...

The planetaries were changed to having more teeth @ SN 012840-. Unless I overlooked it only the longest axles(1195mm long) had the size increased from 92MM(B) to 100MM(C)
