JD Disk parts?

Group,

Where is the best place to get disk parts? I have a very old JD 10" disk that needs some help and I have looked at Shoup & e-bay. Any other place that sells the disks. I need 16" with 1" square hole. I do not want the dual size hole disks. I have 2 of them that started to spin on the axel so I am sticking to the single style hole.

Thanks

Sam

You can make a spacer out of a couple old blade centers and space the blades up on the axle a bit to get away from the worn spots on the axle...

Tim, thanks. I was thinking about welding the worn spots and grinding them square again but the disks themselves need replacing too. Need an avenue to get them Most places I have looked are not made in USA so I think I am going to pass on them and get from Shoup made in USA....

Welding the worn spots means a guaranteed broken arbor bolt in the future. Like what was said, just tighten it up good and that will hold the blades. Some disks have round holes in the blades and rely on clamping force only to hold them. Jim
