Mt Pleasant show.

Has anyone been to the Mt. Pleasant, Iowa show in the last few years? The last time I was there was probably 25 years ago and they were still struggling with whether or not to allow styled tractors in. I'm not kidding the head honchos were a bunch of died in the wool steam guys.
What's it like now? Are there many tractors of different brands from the 1960s and 70s?

Richard, I've been to Mt. Pleasant every year but two since I've been born. I am about an hour from there. I know of the attitude of which you speak but styled tractors are welcomed now and there will be a lot of them. There is a lot to see. Mike

Tractors must be 50 years old (1964 vintage or older).Years ago (late-1960's to early-1980's), when we lived in that area, that show was an annual multi-day tradition. And I understand that back then, if you wished to display, you had to agree on your application to set up the day before the show and stay for the duration of the show - otherwise, you weren't permitted to exhibit. Now, it would seem, exhibitors come and go as they please. At least that was happening the last time I visited there, about 12 years ago. And because the show is virtually in the city, parking and access is somewhat of a headache. However, I'm sure it's still a good show (featuring Hart-Parr and Oliver stuff this year). They claimed to have 962 antique tractors and pieces of farm equipment on display in 2013. But as Mark stated, it can be a crowded show because of limited space. And I also agree with Mark about Rollag. I had assumed nothing could exceed the size and diversity of Mt. Pleasant - until I visited Rollag in 2003....
