ABG 90 or MT 72 snow plow?

Its getting close to that time of year and I'm thinking about using my 36 A for something useful this winter. 1st question, would one of these plows fit a unstyled A and 2nd, is there any possibility there is one for sale out there somewhere? Of course close to Northern IN would be good. Shipping from Montana would be out of the question! Thanks.

Well #1 ques, will the tractor be in a heated inclosure, if not can you start it at 10 BELOW, after the storm blows thru. My 37(A) starts 1st or 2nd Piston every time, but i would quest at 0-10 BELOW. But then if you can SHOVEL you are Ok. O, by the way,. even a Decent unit if you can find 1 will set you back $700 ta a $1000 PS: No a 72 will not work , not wide enough.

Yes I keep it in my shop and I know how to start it. I have been running this tractor since I was 10 yrs old and I'm 54 now so thanks. Do you have a plow for me, information or are you just trying to give me unneeded advice?

I have the same thought for my 60, but I have not seen many plows ABG 90 plows for sale. One thought that I had is to buy an old truck plow that is wide enough and make a mounting frame to mount it on to my 60. I have seen older truck plows for sale in the 500 to 1000 dollar range. I would do a google search for ABG 90 plow or some thing similar and see what comes up.

Steve,
While almost anything is possible, I think you'd have to make too many modifications to mount an ABG 90 on an unstyled tractor. Take a look at parts catalog PC-228 starting on page 29 and I think you'll see what I mean. If you somehow were able to mount one you'd also need to change the Power Lift valve box to a Powr-Trol unit. Easy job but something to consider.

The one I have on my '48B I bought about 15 years ago for $150 out in Ohio. It was missing the rock shaft lift arms, which I had , the braces for the push frame, and the lift cables.

I have a MT72 plow on my 1950 MT. I had to buy two plows to make one complete plow and spent $500 plus spent a day driving to get them. I agree with Pete, the mounting of a few peices would be tough on an unstyled tractor. I would think you would surely have to make some brackets yourself and re-engineer a few things. It is a simple set up to get the plow to mount and work so I am guessing it could be done.

Thanks for the information guys. Yes I see how the plow mounts to the front and that would be an issue. Courtland, I appreciate the offer but that would cost me more in travel and I would still need to modify. Might just see if I can find an old truck plow on craigslist and see what I can rig up. Thanks again.
