720 transmission update

Today I had the transmission shift quadrant off to line things up so I had reverse again and i was looking in there with a flashlight and it looks like the shift fork is broken inside of there. The screwdriver is pointing to the piece I think is broken. Is that piece broken and if it is would that cause the problem I am having trying to get it shifted into the high range side of the quadrant?

I tried to post a picture but it didnt show up. I will try again

No that is not broke that is a slider for the interlock on that fork your shifter lever is likely worn out
