How 'bout a koyker K6 for a 4430?

Hey all,

Thanks for your inputs so far on loaders. I looked at a Koyker K5, but didn't come together on a price, missed a chance at Larry's 158, and just failed at bidding on a 148 and a Westendorf WL42 at Hennessey's sale on Thursday.

I'm not sure I want a 148 or 158 now that I've seen them up close. They look stoutly built, but not built to be taken off and put on often. That, and they seem to bring a premium on sales. The Koyker and Westendorfs seem to be a lot quicker to mount and dismount. I think I'm going that route.

The next one I'm going after is a K6 Koyker. It has the same load capacity (4000 lbs) as a K5, but it has a higher lift height (13.8ft versus 11ft) and greater breakout capacity (5500 vs. 4530). Of course, lift height means taller posts and longer arms, which means the load being out that much further in front. Is this gonna be a big problem for a 4430? My 4430 has 8 bolt hubs, BTW.

Does anyone on here have any experience with the Koyker k6?

Fair loader but when cyls go to leaking you all most always need to by new as they dont come apart with out braking. by a Miller loader made at Granite Iowa just south of Brandon S D

I guess I'm gonna find out for myself. I had the winning bid on one on auctiontime. I'm gonna take a 4 1/2 hour ride into Illinois on Friday.
