I bought a 1973 JD 4030 Diesel, 4 post RollGuard, QuadRange tractor a while back. The complete canopy top was lost during the hired delivery trip to my farm. I"m ready to replace the canopy top, headliner pad, plastic headliner frame and 4 corner warning lights now from scratch. Are the aftermarket Canopies you see for sale on Ebay, Shoup Parts, and others any good or is it better to find some original used/reconditioned canopies? Not restoring the tractor for this project, just want the canopy and I hope to avoid the JDParts $1,700 costs for these parts brand new. Also not sure how these are assembled, do I need to order the (32) rivets and washers, and (6) weather strips shown on the JDParts diagram in order to assemble the canopy properly or do they come somewhat in tact?
