Did the R Pony motor have a pull start feature, were they standard or was is a somewhat rare option??

I think it was standard eq. on the early ones. I got one on my 1950 but it is missing the ball that was the pull handle on the cable. I can't imagine it ever actually starting the motor. Seems like they need to wind up before they actually start to run.

If the pony is in good shape it starts on the first pull of the rope.
