I had been boosting my mower off this past week-end I jumped if off cranked right up pulled a cable off it went dead did this two more times the results were thee same I tried again and all it did was turned over asked a me chanic he said more than likely it burnt the cois up I replaced them along with new new plugs,new battery same results just spun no fire its getting gas so I replaced the cdi box same results just spinning can anyone please help me
 
Not sure I fully understand your question, or whats happening, but will give a try....If tractor needed jump started, and quit when unhooking the booster cables, then the battery is junk and the voltage regulator is probably bad as well . Now, you say the engine won't start? Have you made sure its not a fuel issue? Remove the air cleaner and spray carb cleaner into the carb throat while cranking it over and see if it starts. If it does, then its a fuel related issue. If it doesn't start, then its a spark issue. These tractors have an ignition control box located up under the dash. A black box held in by one bolt. These were prone to fail on early models. Both ignition coils should not have needed replaced at the same time. Wasted money there. Make sure you properly set the air gap on the coils. Should be approx. .010 clearance between coil and flywheel magnet. Good luck
