4430 3 pt

Using 3pt and was working fine on rotary mower. All at once wouldn't lower. Checked draft control and linkage. Everything seems to be moving externally as far as linkage goes. Any ideas. Thanks

I suppose it's possible that follower(parts key 8) broke or slipped out of linkage.

You could try turning rate of drop screw(parts key 8) out a couple of turns.

I have had the same thing happen to me. The cause is a negative signal on the load shaft coming from the weight of the cutter. A simple solution is to back up to a bank to raise the rear of the cutter, taking weight off the tractor. The cutter should then lower. The cause is a minor adjustment in the rockshaft sensing linkage which is detailed in your service manual. Mike
