I got a 2350 steering cylinder and I can"t get the piston out there is no set screw or snap ring to remove and in the parts book it has none either there is 2pipe plugs 1/8 in took them out see end of piston there"s a snap ring inside but no way to remove it got any ideas Thanks ,ray

There is a retainer behind the hydraulic hose coupler. I'm not real sure but our J.D. mechanic told me about when I was working on my 2550. After you remove the hose, remove the fitting on the cylinder. The retainer can be moved back allowing the piston to slide out. Also if the bearing is bad on the end of the piston, I have the part number of a replacement. I will post that info later, along with installation info.

You have to get internal snap ring(parts key 3) out of it's groove by prying it loose through hyd fitting hole.
