Model G Power Block and All Fuel

Would it be possible to run a model G with a power block, and suitable low compression pistons and manifold on All Fuel? If so what HP might be possible? I ask because where I am based kerosene is much cheaper than gas and I already run two other All Fuel tractors. I am curious to know if an All Fuel G would have sufficient HP to help out when my 730D is otherwise engaged. I understand that a high compression G on gas would be up to it, but the cost of running a G on gas would be prohibitive.

I'm reasonably certain all the power blocks were sold with gas pistons.

A G with gas pistons and standard block should make in the 50 hp range, but as you mentioned will cost a little to keep the tank full.

There isn't much that will run as economically as your 730D.

I would look at the 70 and 720 diesel and hang up the G's . You know what they say about a G ? .50 cents a pop to start one .25 cents a pop to keep it running !!

I do not know how much propane is - I have propane injection set up on the 730D to get more HP - but it is years since I bought any.

Not all Power Blocks were sold with gasoline pistons. Some were sold with LP pistons. I have one such setup in a 60. Mike

My 52 G will drink twice the gas as my 52 A. But with the A set up high comp and cam work the A will keep right up with the G plowing. Same type plow and ground.
