sweaty carborator

Was running my 1935 model D for a short while yesterday. just finished the overhaul/rebuild/restoration.
Anyway.
I noticed that the carborator was sweating...
it was a little humid out, but not bad.
is that something normal? should I be concerned?

Todd-the velocity of intake air through your JD D
carb makes it cool and it will draw moisture from
humid air(high velocity air is cooler). This is
normal from what I can see.

The temperature of the mixture due to the venturi and fuel atomization is below the dewpoint.

Normal

And when it gets a bit cooler out (below 40°F) it is liey to get all frosty too. Here in Ohio that kinda stuff is normal ar rain in summertime!

My intake runner on my 35D sweats most of the time. I got a
dual exhaust gas manifold though. I have had the carb sweat
some but mostly the manifold .

Up here in the Tundra you sometimes cannot let it idle very
long or it freezes the carb- ice forms inside (& out) to the point
it dies. Normal issue. Hot manifolds help (all fuel)
