Exhaust manifold torque values

The exhaust manifold on my "60" is leaking a bit. Appears to be a new gasket and all new bolts. I have had the Tractor for 4 months. Noticed the leak after painting. How tight can they be pulled down without breaking something?I have a torque wrench. Comments appreciated--

I go to 55ft lbs. If that was ran with a blown gasket for a long time you may need to get the gasket surface on the head planed.

7/16" grade 5 hardware JD torque spec is 55ft lbs. I never seez the bolts and work from the center to the outside. I usually do it in 2 stages. I retorque when the engine is at operating tempature.

I don"t want to be the bearer of bad news but...... Bubba that sold you the tractor tried a quick fix after what they found . The high temperature gasket goop has now burned out and allowed the leak to re-appear.
The 60 manifolds are noted for cracking at the heat exchanger . And the contact surface of the exhaust manifold and cylinder head will be rotten and eroded .
The fix is to remove the cylinder head and machine the intake/exhaust flange surface flat and true. Odds are a new manifold will be a more satisfactory repair than tinkering with the old manifold.
When the head is off , which isn"t a huge job. You can check the bores for wear . then look for cracks around the top of the bores and across the sealing face.
A valve job with a three angle valve job never hurt anything either. The pullers take a cutter and mill the intake eyebrows down to the same level as the exhaust seat.
Anything interesting about the 60 such as lots of options, standard chassis etc?
