John Deere 630 propane solenoid

My John Deere 630 (propane) has started faithfully for years. I was using it yesterday and stopped to close a gate, the tractor died, and when I tried to restart, just turned over, never fired. Noticed that when turning the switch on, I didn't hear the propane fuel solenoid click as it should. I have checked the wiring from switch to solenoid for power when switch is turned on, but still can't get the "click" as it should indicating the solenoid opens the fuel. Do those solenoids go bad? And where are they available? Any ideas?
