Has any body had any trouble with JD's seals lately? We have rebuilt a few and they have leaked some. We have used good impellers so I know that is not the problem.

Does the seal leak after you run the tractor and get it warm? I had my JD dealer put a new seal in the water pump on my JD 70. It leaked a bit after I put in anti-freeze. They told me to run it and get it hot and the leak should stop. That was 5 years ago and it hasn't leaked since. They said this happens quite often but running them usually stops the leak. Al

That is how it worked for me on my 630 when I changed the thermostat. It had a couple drip leaks until I got it hot and then they never leaked again.
