4020 3pt doesn't work now after changing the seals an shaft

Changed the seals an shaft on the yoke on the 4020 now the 3pt doesn't work. ? Ive done this on other tractors an all worked when I was done. Is their something I misses or did different im not catching!!? Thanks for any help!!

Did you follow the procedure in the service manuel to ajust the internal draft control linkage? It should be done whenever you have a load shaft out.

We just talked about this last week,, there is a strong chance that the cam follower got out of place up in the valve,, I don't know how they can get out like this but they do,, go back in the achieves and take a look at the pictures we posted,, if you can't find them we will show you again....

Don't know if this matters but the 3pt raise an lower lever was in up/raise position.? I think when i have done others they were in lower. Would this cause a problem? Just a thought!? Looks like ill be taking the valve off the top.

It does matter where the load depth lever is when removing and installing the load shaft, it takes or puts on tension against the shaft,, and you need to be careful and "not" drive the shaft in with a hammer, it is possible to break a piece of the arm off and is a "major" job to repair,,like in removing the final drives and pulling the differential..and all kinds of bad happens with that...

When taking off the valve block is their anything to watch for or keep in mind? Never took the one on the right off before.

You will need a new gasket,, blow the area clean before you lift it and the hidden bolts should need a 9/16" socket,, but they rust bad down in there so you may need to use a 1/2"..

I will have to get a gasket for it tomorrow. Cleaned it up good an all the bolts came out fine but it seams to be stuck not wanting to come off from the rear of the tractor. I cant find my book so im kinda relying on your guys for help!! Thanks for everything so far!!

Make sure you got "all" the bolts out...i think there are 8...

I checked the parts catalog & Tim is correct about eight(8) bolts holding RS valve housing on.

Yep I forgot one bolt got it out an off an yes in deed the
little finger on top flipped over. ill get the gasket tomorrow
if they have one probably not our local jd dealer has
everything but what everyone needs!! THANKS for all the
