I have a 1970 2520 and I am on a hilly lot. I am thinking of getting the ROPS from Deere. Its 800 for the standard one and 1000 for the folding one. I am not sure I am going to clear my garage door. Anyone know how tall it is to the top of the ROPS from something like the mount on the rearend or the operators platform. I am 6ft tall and when I stand on the operators platform I clear my garage door opening by about 6 inches so I know it is close. I would rather not spend the extra on the folding if I don't have to.

Thanks
Kevin

Awesome. Thanks! Kinda strange. That means if o have a canopy and I'm 6' tall then I won't be sble to stand on the operator platform without ducking?

Where are u in Indiana? I'm working just north of south bend.

Just measured the factory canopy on my 2520. It's 8'-8" from
the front of the canopy to the shop floor and 5'-0" from the
platform to the bottom of the canopy.

U guys are awesome! Thanks. I will be ordering my ROPS in the non-folded version.

In my parts catalog, the number for the ROPS points to a box that surrounds all the mounting, the ROPS, and the seatbelt, so i think that the seatbelt will be included.

Thanks again,
Kevin

You are not getting a canopy for that price so you will be able to stand as the cross bar will be behind you.

Yup, no canopy. A canopy is 1800. Way to much for a sun shade in my mind. Holy cow! I was thinking that people would still want to be able to stand up getting in and out. And to see stuff. If it was tall enough to stand under it may have been too tall to get in my garage, but its confirmed. All is good.
