having alittle trouble figuring out 4430 air system

Hey all,

Been playing around under the roof of my 1977 4430, and am having a bit of trouble.

My original problem was the LH blower motor is not spinning on high, and neither run on low. I have the assembly shown as #18 on jdparts. I removed the LH blower, plugged it into the RH blower's leads, and it still doesn't turn. Assuming the motor's shot. But, why doesn't the RH blower run on low? Am I in for a switch as well? I think I need Ar53155 for a witch, but am not sure.

The motor is shot on the side that doesn't work at
all. There is a resistor (I believe in the switch)
that is also not working, and why you only have
"high".

Miniature Coon, the 30 series does NOT use blower resistor.

The fan switch connects the two motors in SERIES for "LOW", then switches them to PARALLEL for "HIGH".

The motor that never runs is DEAD.

Hey all,

I could not find a resistor under the roof, so it must be the original style. Looks exactly like page 18 under operator's station on JDparts

So, since the LH blower motor is dead, I'm gonna go grab one on Monday (RE223623 $81 at deere). Will this fix it, or do I also need a switch?

Replacements have only one fan motor.

The LH motor should fix it. In low speed the motors are connected in series so the bad motor having an open circuit will prevent the good motor from working on low. On high speed each motor has it's own power circuit.
