Hey all,
I've always found excellent help here on the forums whenever I have an issue with my 2040, so hopefully this one will be quick and easy for y'all.
Left front tire (as you're sitting in the seat.) I looked down this morning and noticed the rod had slipped off the ball. I was able to tap it back on with a hammer, but without the tape job, it just pops off again when you turn.
My question: it looked like there was some sort of bearing or something that was originally in the socket--and obviously the rubber boot dry rotted away. There also looks to be what used to be a retaining spring in the bottom of the socket.
Is this something that I can get a few parts for and repair myself, or was that ball joint pressed in at the factory?
