plow keeps tripping

I have a John Deere rollover plow and the last bottom keeps tripping. Everything looks functional and nothing broke. It doesn"t trip on initial placement in the ground, but with some resistance, it trips. I know they are designed to trip, but none of the other 7 are tripping. Any suggestions or places to look? thanks

Look at the shim pack behind the leaf spring. These are tubular shims which determine tripping resistance.

Compare the problematic bottom to the other trip mechanisms.

Also look to see that the leaf spring isn't sprung (this should be straight as an arrow when at rest).
Trip mechanism

If the spring "H" in Tyler"s post is broken, the roller will jump up out of it"s notch and the bottom will trip. Had this happen on a F145H, not a rollover, but probably the same system.

I your plow has a lot of acres on it, the shoulder of the trip mechanism may be worn where it pops under the roller.
Trip it manually, and if the shoulder is rounded you should build it up with your welder, then shape it to a sharper corner with your grinder.

You should also check the others to be sure they are not frozen.
Use a large adjustable wrench on the rear of the latch to push it down.
