4640 convert back to R12

My 4640 had already been converted to R134a when I bought it about 12 years ago. My other tractors are on R12 and I now have a lot stocked up. I just replaced a leaking hose on the 4640, and am ready to recharge. I would like to switch it back to the R12. What steps would I need to take? I know there"s an issue with mixing the different kinds of oils. I put a reman compressor from Deere on a couple years ago. I also replaced the expansion valve at that time. How do I get the old oil out of the system? And how do I add the new oil?

You will need to remove and drain the compressor flush and refill w/mineral oil. As TX Jim said you will have to flush the rest of the system.
Sounds kind of foolish to go through all that just because you have some R-12.

R12 is getting more valuable and hard to find all the time so I don't know why you would intentionally increase the consumption of your supply. I'd keep your R134a system and save the R12 for the machines that really need it. R134a is still cheap and easy to find so I would take advantage of that.
