the load control shaft came out part way on my 3020 while I was using it to rake hay.the 3 pt. was up at the time.now after replacing the shaft bushins and seals the 3 pt only comes up a little bit and thats it. I was told that if the shaft is removed while the 3 pt is up the cam follower gets out of position.what now?? do I have to remove the rockshaft housing? I hope not

You can remove the plug to the right of the top link and peek back into the case to see if the follower is still in place,, I have seen them get out of place but I still don"t see how it can happen,, but it does...

if I pull the loadshaft back out and lift up the 3 pt theoretically
I should be able to put it back then ,right ??

when its out of place whats it look like
when looking in there it looks like just to the left of the follower there are some shiny teeth

You can do it by lifting the control valve,, it"s a lever that falls forward,, kinda hard to explain...I"ll see if I can post a pic of one tomorrow, I usually have one opened up in here but not right now...

Here's the parts photos. IIRC the cam fits in front of link(parts key 14) in 1st photo

No, #14 is on the lower end of the arm,, and it some times gets "broken" off from forcing or driving the load shaft though it,, and when that happens you need to pull the rockshaft, final drives,PTO and lift the differential up out to repair it,,,"Don't let this happen".. #8 fits in front of the roller that comes down out of the valve..and behind the lob on the rock shaft.

Okay I see that now,, yes that is the roller that fits down behind the follower lever, this is often over looked when your not around them a lot, when the rockshaft is removed it falls forward un noticed then when you go back on with it laying down the 3pt will not work, It don"t seem possible for it to get out of track any other way but they do....

so basically the rock shaft housing has to come off
because I cant see good enough thru the plug hole to tell whats happened
